Temperature is a LLM concept that could be easily confused for like chip temperature, but it refers to the randomness of the next word in the sequence

If you think of the next word probability as a range of likelihood, increasing the temperature increases that range of possible words, and since an LLM cant/doesnt know the meaning of the sentence, increasing this makes the sentences more likely to be incoherent
