The #ft has reported today that #petermandelson managed to get £ 1.5 M from the consultancy firm #globalcounsel - which he founded - through sales of shares. It has now folded in ignominy. This dwarfs the £ 75 k he got from the #ukgovernment in order for it to avoid a tribunal!

I have seen my first example of polling and modelling explicitly using #ai . This was an exercise conducted by an organisation called #Bombeplatform using data from #deltapoll . It was reported in the #guardian Saturday - 7th March. It projects the #conservatives gaining one borough - Barnet - and #ReformUK gaining another - Barking and Dagenham. It does not suggest any change as far as #libdem control is concerned. Quite another story for #Greens and #labour .

The parliamentary byelection tomorrow in #gortonanddenton may well be 'too close to call' between the three main contenders . It may well be that the result will depend on weather on polling day since it seems likely that the balance between early and 'on the day' voting will vary between the three contending parties - certainly that is what I observed in the parliamentary constituency where I live in 2024.
